First Language Lessons 4 Bundle
If your approach to language arts is a blend of classical education with a pinch of Charlotte Masons ideas, then you will be quite pleased with First Language Lessons. With two to three short lessons a week, First Language Lessons Level 4 covers a full range of grammar topics, including parts of speech, punctuation, sentence diagrams, and skills in beginning writing and storytelling.
Beginning Thinking Skills 2
Building Thinking Skills Book Two was a favorite school assignment in our family. This comprehensive, straightforward program develops four basic analytical skills (similarities/differences, sequences, classification, and analogies) through both figural and verbal problems. Sound intimidating? Don't worry! The exercises are clear, with sample completed activities so that the student can see exactly what to do. The activities offer lots of variety too, from finding the identical matching figure to selecting the most similar adjective from a list or describing the parts of a whole.
Spelling You See Level E
Each daily lesson in Spelling You See uses real words presented in context within poems or informational passages. Plus each lesson is colorful, short, to the point, and fun! Did I mention were in love? You will be too when you discover how relaxed and easy it is to implement Spelling You See.
Daily Geography 4
Basic geography is essential, but done in large, infrequent doses it can become tedious or, worse yet, too quickly forgotten. Daily Geography uses a short daily lesson approach that avoids both pitfalls.

Have him take this free placement test
and make sure.)
2015 Fourth Grade Complete
Because we remember faces easier than we do names, it follows that learning vocabulary with colorful illustrations to help with recall is a more effective plan than merely studying lists of words and their definitions. Marie's Words features a full-color, hand-drawn illustration on one side to show the word in a way that helps your child recall the meaning more easily.
Pathway Readers 4
Designed to be used in Amish classrooms, these basal readers are solidly wholesome, with none of the fantasy that is commonplace in both Christian and secular readers. Because the Amish don't use electricity, you won't find stories dealing with the latest in films, computers, or TVs. Instead, the stories are centered on farm life, with horse auctions, harvests, and LARGE families. With simple typesetting and a few black-and-white sketches, these hardback books are not splashy, but are lovely in their simplicity.
One note: While we believe that reading is the single most important skill to foster in your fourth grader, you'll notice that we did not include many traditional readers. Don't let this puzzle you. Our experience is that the best way to help your child become an eager reader is to constantly supply him with reading materials that interest him. Future doctors may want to read up on anatomy, young explorers are drawn to the escapades of adventurers young and old, and the baby-lover in your family will be captivated by adoption stories. Assign reading if you must, but encourage it at all costs; a child who enjoys reading will find it easier to excel in every area.
With seemingly limitless challenges, Quadrillion's transformable game board will give the brain a real workout. Simply snap the magnetic reversible grids together, then fit the 12 puzzle pieces onto the game board covering all of the open spaces to solve the challenge. Included booklet provides 60 puzzle challenges, from easy to extremely difficult, then follow the included instructions to create your own. Challenge family and friends to solve your customized puzzle, then create a quadrillion more!
Robotis DREAM Level 1
Did you know that simply by building things your child simultaneously improves his visual perception, fine-motor skills, patience, problem-solving, spatial perception, creativity, ability to follow directions, grasp of physics concepts, and engineering ability? We believe that construction is one of the most valuable educational processes available and that both learning to build and learning by what has been built should be a part of every family's curriculum. That is why we've included the ROBOTIS DREAM Level 1 kit as part of your 4th-Grade Complete Curriculum Kit. This twelve-week curriculum comes with an easy-to-understand workbook with clear pictures and text, plus thought-provoking questions that will guide your child through a simple introduction to robotics. He will also have the opportunity to design and build his own robots using a geared motor for independent movement no programming required. ROBOTIS DREAM presents topics such as electricity, the center of gravity, the understanding of power, and the walking mechanisms of both two- and four-footed robots through lessons on science, technology, engineering, and math.
True Stories of WWI
, and Civil War
One of the best ways to encourage a young reader is to constantly supply him with reading materials that interest him. Assign reading if you must, but encourage it at all costs; a child who enjoys reading will find it easier to excel in every area. We are including three sample graphic novels in your curriculum related to this year's history: True Stories of WWI, True Stories of WWII, and True Stories of the Civil War. This engaging approach has been a big hit with eager and reluctant readers alike.
Every page in Underwater Doodles contains a simple line drawing and a suggestion on how to complete the picture. This is a super idea starter for the child who doesnt know what to draw. Your child will enjoy adding his own personal touches and drawings to the pictures on the pages.
Aquarellum Large - Coral Reefs
Your children will learn how to mix rich, vibrant colors while they create beautiful and detailed works of art. With Aquarellums exclusive water-resistant technique, paint flows off the wax barriers and adheres only to the design motif areas, making the vivid colors pop. And paint can be applied repeatedly to any area until the results are just perfect.Aquarellum kindles the imagination, requires concentration, and makes learning to paint easy, relaxing, and rewarding.
The Story of the World 4 Reader
History is a story -- isn't it time you read it that way? The Story of the World is a captivating read-aloud series which will introduce your children to the marvelous history of the world presented chronologically from the beginning of time. The details of battles, kingdoms, cultures, and customs from every continent and major people group are woven together into a story that children will find mesmerizing. With short chapters, many less than seven pages, The Story of the World presents history in small, easily-digestible chunks. Of particular appeal to children will be the occasional story about a hypothetical child in the culture of that time and fictional stories that were popular during that time. In your Complete Curriculum we include both the reader and the student activity book for Volume 4, covering the Modern Age (1850 AD - 1994 AD).
Exploring Creation with Zoology 2
A colorful, conversational approach to science, Exploring Creation with Zoology is also very easy to teach. This program uses a notebook-based approach, meaning that as you go through the course your child will be asked to write, draw, or dictate the results of his experiments into a notebook. Not only will this help him retain what he learns, but at the end of the year you will have a lovely record of his work! The hands-on experiments sprinkled throughout the book are sure to be a highlight for both of you. Your Complete Curriculum includes the Exploring Creation with Zoology 2 hardbound textbook and a Notebooking Journal. One note: Don't feel you need to fill in every spot in the notebook; pick and choose what your time and your child's interest allows!
When one of our children was a preschooler, we received the best advice a parent of a kinesthetic child could receive: Let her wiggle. And wiggle she did. I don't think she sat for schoolwork for many years. Thinking Putty offers your child a way to move without becoming a distraction. An impressive, adult-sized handful of high-quality, moldable putty, the non-toxic, non-gooey Thinking Putty will bounce, stretch, tear, drip, snap, even shatter. Finally, your little wiggler will be able to sit and listen!
Spectrum Test Practice 4
Spectrum Test Practice offers a comprehensive and sequential way to practice the content areas offered on numerous standardized tests, plus access to online state-specific test practice. The up-to-date content reflects national standards and includes practice tests in reading, language arts, and math.
Smencils (Scented Pencils) are made from 100% recycled newspapers; you can even see the layers of recycled newspaper when you sharpen them! Individually packed in their own freshness tubes (made of corn-based biodegradable plastic), guaranteed to keep the delicious aromas fresh for two years. (One Smencil included with each Complete Curriculum.)
Editor-In-Chief Beginning 2
Editor-in-Chief provides your child with a fake newspaper article and picture in each lesson, and then asks him to find and correct the errors. What a fantastic way to take the drudgery out of applying his budding language and spelling skills, while also enhancing his critical thinking and observation skills!
The Global Puzzle
The average individual can only place eighteen of the world's 193 countries. But wouldn't it be nice if he could locate all 193? Unlike other world puzzles, The Global Puzzle has pieces shaped like individual countries. Instead of matching color to color, you must be able to work each country piece into the bordering countries, making a lasting mental connection as you go. After completing this puzzle, people, on average, were able to identify 103 countries, an increase of 400%. After completing the puzzle a second time, they were, on average, able to identify 130 countries. Imagine how much more your child will get out of history lessons and current news when he is able to accurately place the countries in his mind!
The Story of the World 4 Audio
Featuring the same content as The Story of the World book, this convenient audio book allows you to listen in the car, while fixing dinner, or any other time when your ears are freer than your hands!
Draw and Write Through History 6
Because your child will likely retain more of what he learns when illustrating each time period, Draw and Write Through History is not mere busywork. Not only will your child be taught how to draw true historical figures and places with easy-to-follow, step-by-step, illustrated instructions, but at the end of each section a page of cursive copywork is given, summarizing the history lesson. Intriguing, bite-sized historical facts interspersed on the pages may even jump-start the most reluctant of readers into wanting to learn more. This book covers the time period from the Early 1900s through Apollo 11. Learn to draw a Model T, the Titanic, penguins, a seal, a World War I U-boat, Amelia Earhart, the Golden Gate Bridge, a Sherman tank, Apollo 11, and more!
24-Hour History Set of 5
Some events in history unfold rapidly, but their impact can last for generations. That is the premise behind 24-Hour History, a series of beautifully illustrated graphic novels with a focused look at one critical day in US history. In each of the four novels your child will learn a key event that happened in a very short amount of time, but which still has impact today.
Pilgrim's Progress Graphic Novel
More than 300 years since it was first published, The Pilgrim's Progress still offers themes and struggles relevant to modern Christians, including today's homeschool student. Originally printed in what we would now call archaic language, for years it was the "other book" in the Christian home, studied and taught second only to the Bible itself. Now there is even more to love with The Pilgrim's Progress Graphic Novel Set, a special edition two-volume set shortened and retold in graphic novel form for those who want to know Bunyan's story but find the language of the original difficult to understand.
