Timberdoodle's review
If you have a child with vision, dexterity, or focus difficulties then this book was written just for him. Complete-A-Sketch Vision-Dexterity-Focus covers all three skills: flat, two-dimensional line art, isometric,
three-dimensional line art, and perspective drawing, all in a single volume.

Written with input from vision therapists and parents that have children with vision and focus challenges, all of the art in this book is larger, bolder, and has less fine detail so the student can see the lines and  intersections more clearly. This book is suitable for any child over the age of five.

Perfect for Autistic Students June 2, 2012
    Reviewer: Rhonda
I used this for my ASD kids (one aspie, one severely autistic) and found that it engaged them and was a terrific supplement to their vision therapy exercises. It can be used as a fun break between subjects in your homeschool and is something kids look forward to, without realizing that it's building serious skills in areas they need. I think that it would work well for any child who is interested in art, or whose parents want to interest them in art. I'd strongly recommend this to other parents who are looking to improve their children's visual perception and a solid addition to any art curriculum.

hates to sit down and write anything loves doing the activities. It is one of the first things she chooses to begin her school day. I have seen an improvement in her concentration, attention to detail and her handwriting as a result. I am going to purchase another one for another child who struggles with such skills.

    Amazing resource! October 10, 2011

I have used this book with several elementary students who have been diagnosed with learning or visual disabilities.  The approach of sketching lines is simple, yet it causes students to slow down, concentrate, and copy from a model.  The lessons are incremental and not intimidating.  I have also found this book helpful for a boy who has terrible handwriting!

Great therapy for the slow learner March 22, 2010
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from FORT LAUDERDALE, FL United States
I bought  this book for my 10 year old  who has learning issues, specifically  trouble with any kind of written school work.  We're going thru therapy now and the counselor just loved my choice saying it was perfect to help train his eyes to focus.  The problem seems behavioral, but it is physical, and with specific  exercises including this type of drawing I'm told he will improve.

    Our children (7, 9 and 12) LOVE these books!! October 23, 2008

I home school three boys ages 11, 10, and 8.  They love this product!  It teaches a practical skill and is fun.  I started out using it for art once a week and the boys asked if they could do it more often.  I have recommended it to all my friends.
