Your Children Will Clamor for More
Big Bag of Science is a huge collection of seventy child-friendly experiments that will have your child clamoring for "just one more." Admittedly, a dozen or so are of the fairly mundane, use-a-test-tube-to-watch-roots-grow variety, but there are over fifty intriguing experiments, like the unusual testing of your family members for the PTC gene.

For Younger Children and Older Siblings
Of course, when a science kit includes the immensely popular Insta-Snow, Quicksand Powder, Stretching Slime, Worm Goo, Garbled Marbles, and much more, you know you are in for a mess. But for younger children who want to touch science, and their older siblings who would rather see science in action than read about it, Big Bag of Science can be a joyous exploration of the mysteries and wonders of science.

A Year of Eye-popping Fun
If you can restrain yourselves from doing experiment after experiment, Big Bag of Science will provide your family with a full year of eye-popping fun. Designed for ages eight and older, Big Bag of Science makes an ideal "let's get dad involved" kit, or a delightful way for a teen to entertain a younger sibling while mom catches her breath.

    Frustrating January 20, 2013
    Reviewer: Amanda
I was very excited about this science bag because my son (kindergarten) loves science. But when we get out everything we need for an experiment, we start reading the instructions and they skip steps and add more supplies that we need to get. I am usually searching the internet to find out how to do the experiments because the directions that came with the kit is lacking most of the information needed. Also the "how it works" descriptions to teach the kids how that experiment works is very advanced for the age group, we dont even read them to my son anymore because it is way over his head, I just look up on the internet and find a better description. When you buy a kit, you expect everything to be in it so you can pull it out and be set to teach lessons, but not in this case, you have to run around and get more supplies in the middle of the experiment and seach the internet to figure out how to do the experiment.

    Great Kit January 14, 2013
    Reviewer: Mom of 6
I was hoping to get 6 months out of this, knowing our family does science fast. Now that I have it, I can see it will only last 3 months. Having said that, it is still a great price for 3 months of exciting science. We are using it to cover general concepts and science vocabulary. Because the experiments are so fun the kids won't mind writing down one or to big words and their meanings. The explanations of what is happening are excellent and I am using them to pick my vocab words. I am only giving it 4 stars because a few activities seemed to small to really count (a 5 minute variation of another activity). When I hear 70 activities I want them all to last at least 15 minutes. The majority will take longer, but this detail just bugged me a little.

    FUN! August 9, 2012
    Reviewer: Ambertackles
My 6 year old has been asking for this kit for awhile and was so excited to get started once it arrived. My 4 and 2 year olds love when the big bag of Science comes out too. I designated Fridays as science project days and now my 4 year old asks every day what day it is and how many more days till Friday. He wakes us up on Friday mornings saying "Its Friday, we can do science!!!" Its fun and easy to do and keeps my kids excited.

Learning by Doing June 5, 2012

The kit was huge - so much in it. Everyone was interested. The utensils in the kit are appropriate for little fingers to manipulate. Directions were clear, simple and fun.

Lots of fun, great experiments, but... June 1, 2012
    Reviewer: Mamachka
This is a super-fun kit and a WONDERFUL value, but the instructions are often not very clear and the bags and bottles are frequently labeled differently than the wording used in the manual. You can pretty much figure out what's what on most of the experiments, but a few of them took considerable time to decipher. Otherwise, though, this is a great kit - we bought it for our two kids who are 10 years apart in age, and it was something they could do together, which was awesome! Good product for the price, just be prepared to be on hand while the kids use it.
