    Beginning Geography~Review
"...We are having so much fun with this book! Itís a really simple and gentle introduction to Geography, aimed at children from Kindergarten thru 2nd grade. We have yet to cover major landforms and continents, but they are in there as are two fully colored maps that the children will love to see hanging on the wall!..."

4 year old not quite ready September 12, 2016

I think this will be better with my girls now that they're turning 5 years old. It would be even better with an early reader. It has good activities I just think it's better for a slightly older child.

Perfect fit for high regulation states June 6, 2016
    Reviewer: Danyell
I was impressed as soon as I picked up Beginning Geography! This book has super think perforated pages which allows me to easily make copies and keep materials organized! This is a workbook, very much school at home. While we do intend to make geography more hands on than a standards based workbook provides, Beginning Geography is perfect for quick comprehensive lessons that both my 7 and 5 year old enjoy! Living in a highly regulated state, this curriculum is invaluable to me as a mom and educator allowing me to effectively teach to the required standards while providing proof of covered topics. My children look forward to their geography sheets daily, often coloring the work page in upon completing the lesson. Again, if you are looking for creative project based curricula this may not be the best fit for you, however if you are looking to thoroughly cover geography in as little time as possible Beginning Geography is perfect!

Great intro into Geography January 13, 2016
    Reviewer: Linda
We really like this book as an introduction. It has great activities to color and to make but the only flaw is that the pages are double sided and then they may have you cut the opposing page for an activity. That was a bit of pain to have to always make copies. We have found the information in here to be great just wish the set up was a bit more thought out.

Great Starter Geography October 5, 2015
    Reviewer: Amber Beckham
My daughter really enjoyed this book. She used it for Kinder. My only issue is you have to make copies of the pages in order to use some of them, e.g. There are pages you have to cut out of the book, and if you cut them it destroys the previous or the next day's project. This wasn't a big deal when my printer was working.

    Great book! January 20, 2015
    Reviewer: Catherine E.
This is perfect for my almost 5 year old - she loves it! The work sheets are just the right pace for her age. I don't know that I would go so far as to say it would still work for 2nd grade...maybe if your child has had no geography experience at all and has had no introductions to maps, etc. This is definitely a "beginners" book. But, GREAT for kinder and probably even 1st grade!
