Timberdoodle's review
A City Through Time
For many children, the problem with history books is too many words, not enough pictures. But A City Through Time tackles that with an appealing format of full-color illustrations that will transport your child back to another era.

Colony to Metropolis
From ancient colony to vast modern metropolis, the panoramic scenes in A City Through Time are packed with detailed and gorgeous illustrations showing the everyday life of an imaginary city across six key periods of time, which will help your child to understand how the past still influences and is seen in the present.

Find the Time Traveler
There's a small amount of easily understood text on each page, and the illustrator has hidden a time traveler in each scene. Full of the tiny details that kids love to examine, A City Through Time also profiles great cities through history and provides a glossary concerning architecture, technology, work, and clothing throughout the ages. A City Through Time is a great supplement to any world history study.

My son loves watching how the city changes throughout the book. Opens opportunities for talking about how invention and technology have changed so many things through time. A great Christmas gift idea!

    A City Through Time September 29, 2014
    Reviewer: Scarlett M.
We were really disappointed with this book. We have previously used A Street Through Time and all of the pictures along the top and bottom can be found within the large picture which really helped my kids to engage. A City Through Time does have pictures on the top and bottom but they usually cannot be found in the larger picture so my children were bored and we didn't even finish the book. For a much older child, perhaps it would be intriguing.
