Timberdoodle's review
Build a 9 inch model of the human skeleton.

The Human Skeleton Anatomy consists of 46 hand-painted, finely detailed parts. It also includes an information booklet with diagrams and names of the parts, as well as a display stand, so it can be used as a reference throughout your child's schooling.

For ages six and up, unless your child has exceptional fine motor skills. Completed puzzle stands about nine inches tall.

About 3D Puzzles:
Enthusiasts of these startlingly lifelike puzzles are multiplying rapidly and it is no wonder why. These ingenious, museum-quality puzzles have been highly recognized for their authenticated look, meticulous finishing, and fastidious painting.

Originally sold as 4-D Puzzles, the fourth "D" denoting the "detailed" aspect to the three-dimensional puzzles, not only is the company undergoing exponential growth but so are the knockoffs. Don't settle for the cheaper versions, they will cause your child nothing but grief.

Each one of these puzzles can be put together and pulled back apart countless times, which is perfect for families with many children. They do contain small parts that can be a choking hazard for younger children, but children six years and older will spend hours learning while doing.

Just Plain Wrong February 25, 2013

On examination through the packaging I found gross errors in the exposed pieces. Digits have the incorrect number of phalanges (ex. Your big two has 2 bones, not 3) and incorrect placement ( your thumb is attached to your carpal bones, not the ends of the metacarpals). The tarsal bones are depicted as lined up behind the foot, with the ankle attached behind that. Scary. I couldn't get past the weird alien flipper feet and hands to even look at the rest of the model. I bought a skeleton puzzle to better teach human anatomy. The gross errors in this puzzle make it worse than having nothing.

Make no bones about it! August 30, 2011

Okay, I am not as impressed with the 3-D Skeleton puzzle as I thought I would be.  The detail is excellent, but the rib cage was difficult to put together and kept falling apart.  Also, it wouldn't stay on the stand once we (yes, it took an 11 year old and an adult) got it together.  If I had known how it was, I am not sure I would have purchased this item.
